"My husband & I returned from our Canyon Adventure Tour (reservation # 459841) on 7/29. After traveling twice with Adventures by Disney, Collette was a disappointment. When I received my documents, I called to reserve a car service for airport transportation as instructed in the packet. I was never told to ask for a confirmation # from Golden Touch Transportation. The agent I spoke to only asked for my Collette reservation #, flight departure time & airline. A few days before the start of my vacation, I received a call from Collette that there was no reservation made for transportation. Although I told the agent I did call weeks prior, I did not have a confirmation #, so the Collette agent knew the arrangements were never made by the Golden Touch agent I spoke to.The Collette agent had to book my airport transportation. This could have been avoided if I knew to ask for a confirmation #. I am confused as to the responsibility of the Tour Manager. Liz Destafano was dressed like she was working in an office. She was clearly not going to guide the group in any outdoor activity. By contrast, the 2 guides who accompanied the groups on the Disney tours were dressed in shorts & wore short sleeve shirts with the company logo. They walked every hike & the group was never unattended. Every hike was started with specific instructions to carry water & caution that a hike that descends into a canyon takes twice as long to walk back up. These instructions were not given when inexperienced people in the group were send into Bryce Canyon without a guide & did not return until an hour past the return time. Liz had to get assistance from the Park Rangers but they could not find the 5 missing hikers from the group. Fortunately, they were safe but got confused when they were looking for a loop to return back as Liz instructed. There was no loop. The trip was called Canyon Adventures, yet the National Parks were not the focus of the trip. A tour of Scotsdale by a life time resident followed by being dumped into Old Scotsdale for lunch & shopping with temperatures in excess of 105, was terrible planning. Although my husband & I are in excellent physical condition, many in the group were not & were left to go to the nearest restaurant to sit in the air conditioning for the allotted time. This pathetic tour/lunch/shopping trip should be eliminated completely to spend extra time at the Grand Canyon since our time there was just 1 night. There should have been a lecture from a National Park Ranger in every National Park, yet there was only a guided tram ride in Zion. After peaceful time in the National Parks, we ended our tour in Las Vegas for 2 days. This extra day in Las Vegas should also be eliminated for an extra day in Bryce & Zion. Where again, only 1 night was scheduled. How could Collette book a tour like this & end with such inferior accomodations as Planet Hollywood? When we entered the lobby, we were assaulted my loud offensive "club music" I would have expected at the Hard Rock. Sadly, this music was everywhere, in the casino, restaurants, Miracle Mile Mall & the pool. The only haven for quiet was our room. After check in, we tried to escape the music by retreating to the pool. Not only was the music louder at the pool, but the groups of intoxicated Gang Bangers made us feel unsafe. We took turns going in the pool & watching our belongings. The next morning we had to escape the unfit conditions at Planet Hollywood. Starting at 7:30, we visited every hotel lobby, casino & pool area of every hotel on Las Vegas Blvd in the new section of Las Vegas. We can definitely say that you chose the most inferior hotel on the strip. Because Liz was leaving the group early for personal reasons, she insisted that we complete our evaluations prior to arriving in Las Vegas. I think she knew the evaluations would be seriously compromised if we evaluated this inappropriate venue. Disappointed travelers, "
