Day 2: Sedona / The Grand Canyon
Set out for the red-rock landscapes of Sedona, Arizona, named for the wife of its first postmaster and renowned for its stunning array of red sandstone formations that glow orange and red at dawn and sunset. Bearing colorful names like Coffeepot Rock, the Mittens and the Rabbit Ears, these red rocks have provided the backdrop for many a western film. Following a guided walking tour that takes you back in time to the days of the early settlers, spend time at leisure checking out the town, a favorite with artists. Continue on through Oak Creek Canyon to Grand Canyon National Park; over one mile deep and 277 miles long, the canyon was carved over millions of years by the Colorado River. Dine at your choice of restaurants at El Tovar, the Arizona Room or Bright Angel Café tonight. Meals BD
Overnight: Kachina Lodge, Grand Canyon National Park, AZ
Meals Included: Breakfast, dinner

Day 3: Grand Canyon National Park
It's easy to be mesmerized by the massive scope and awesome grandeur of the Grand Canyon. You may want to awaken early, take a short walk from your lodge on the South Rim, and watch the sunrise over the canyon - a truly unforgettable sight! Enjoy an entertaining talk by geology expert Canyon Dave on the rim and explore Canyon Village as you please; traverse the Navajo Reservation and the Painted Desert to Glen Canyon National Recreation Area for a two-night stay at Lake Powell Resorts & Marinas. A lecture on water's role in ecology is followed by a private dinner tonight. Meals BD
Overnight: Lake Powell Resorts & Marinas, Page, AZ
Meals Included: Breakfast, dinner

Day 4: Lake Powell / Flightseeing
The Glen Canyon Dam took 17 years to “fill up” Glen Canyon, transforming the Colorado River into 186-mile-long Lake Powell! Fringed by fjord-like canyons, it's one of the largest man-made bodies of water ever created; there's no lake like it on earth. While enjoying the lake's scenic splendor from your lakefront resort, Tauck takes you to see its hidden wonders by air, and by water or by land. An included 30-minute morning flight* affords incredible views of red-rock formations - including Rainbow Bridge, the world's largest natural arch, about the same height as the Statue of Liberty! An optional four-hour flightseeing excursion and tour to Monument Valley* is available at an additional cost (see Monument Valley Option). Later, set off on a boat excursion* to remote lake areas, or embark on a four-wheel-drive vehicle adventure* to amazing Antelope Canyon - hidden to most visitors. Meals BD
Overnight: Lake Powell Resorts & Marinas, Page, AZ
Meals Included: Breakfast, dinner

Day 5: River Float Trip / Bryce Canyon
Check out nature's awesome handiwork on an inspiring float trip* along the Colorado River through Glen Canyon; your river adventure guide imparts a wealth of knowledge about the canyon as you glide past colorful walls of Navajo sandstone. Say goodbye to Arizona and set across Utah landscapes that over the years have often served as locations for movie and TV westerns. Arrive in Bryce Canyon National Park, a wondrous land of pines, pinnacles and oddly sculpted formations known as hoodoos, resembling the towers of fairy-tale castles. Before you lie magnificent spires, tinted with shades of pink, orange and red, which put on a show as the light changes throughout the day. Whether strolling the park's scenic pathways or hiking along its many miles of excellent trails, keep an eye open for its abundant wildlife, including elk, coyotes, marmots, and prairie dogs. Your sought-after accommodations at historic Bryce Canyon Lodge, listed on the National Historic Register, are nestled within a lush forest of towering ponderosa pines right in the heart of the national park. Meals BLD
Overnight: Bryce Canyon Lodge, Bryce Canyon National Park, UT
Meals Included: Breakfast, lunch, dinner

Day 6: Wonders of Bryce Canyon & Zion
If you rise early this morning, you can catch an incredible show - an awe-inspiring Bryce Canyon sunrise, with the light of dawn slowly spreading across the park's hoodoos and other unique geological features; it's all just a short walk from your room at Bryce Canyon Lodge! Spend the morning at leisure, perhaps taking advantage of Bryce Canyon's renowned hiking trails to observe a great variety of bird species, beautiful wildflowers and diverse wildlife. Travel across southwestern Utah to Zion National Park, where colorful sandstone canyons and 3,000-foot-high palisades tower above the lush greenery of the canyon floor. The park's shuttle system and network of hiking trails afford easy access to its key geologic features. Thriving vegetation includes cottonwood trees and dry desert plants; wildlife ranges from mule deer to hundreds of bird species. Spend the night in cabins at the restored Zion Lodge, the only accommodation inside the park. Meals BLD
Overnight: Zion Lodge, Zion National Park, UT
Meals Included: Breakfast, lunch, dinner

Day 7: Zion National Park / Las Vegas
The morning is yours to explore Zion's diverse geological features at leisure; its dramatic peaks and cliffs, odd geologic formations, desert oases featuring abundant pools and waterfalls, and mighty canyons splashed with vivid colors are all equally compelling. The Paiutes believed this place to be the home of their coyote spirit, Sinawava, while early Mormon visitors referred to it as ‚”the natural temples of God.” Highlights include a trio of peaks known as the Three Patriarchs; the Emerald Pools, fed by waterfalls cascading over the canyon walls; and the veil of springwater trickling over Weeping Rock. Depart Zion National Park for a memorable journey across the vast, colorful vistas of the northeastern Mojave Desert. Then get ready for a bit of ”culture shock” as you arrive in Las Vegas, Nevada - a city that truly never sleeps, offering non-stop entertainment and fancifully themed casinos. Please join us this evening for a farewell reception and dinner at your renowned Roman-themed casino hotel, Caesars Palace Las Vegas, during which a true ”hint of magic” ends a phenomenal week. Your rooms are in the deluxe Forum Tower. Meals BLD
Overnight: Caesars Palace Las Vegas, NV
